Music boosters general meeting 10/6/2015
Rachel called the meeting to order at 7:33pm
1st VP Beth Thomas discussed Vosh Lakewood fundraiser and needing volunteers.
Beth has gotten a fundraiser at Angelo’s Pizza for November 25th (day before Thanksgiving) we are getting 20% of all sales that day.
Bob Evans restaurant is willing to do a fundraiser for us in December of this year as well. Bob Evans is giving us 15% of the sales and said that we can have multiple days if we want to run the fundraiser longer
The fruit sale will be up and running within the next week or so.
Beth discussed the season passes for concerts this year and Beth Hankins stated that the teachers all got together and discussed it and like the idea. She said they discussed a 40.00 fee for all concerts. We will discuss in more detail on how we will work these season passes soon.
We also discussed ice cream for the elementary and 6th grade concerts and if we would have enough room to have them after concerts with the construction. More info to come on that.
2nd VP Lori Marjanovic talked about the sign up genius for our Vosh fundraiser and said we still needed a few volunteers.
3rd VP Beth Hankins discussed that the High school Orchestra has purchased 400 tickets for the Violins of Hope concert on December 2nd and is in need of parent volunteers. She also spoke about Mr. Patterson holding a face to face chat with the community at the Ranger Café October 15th. We need community support for that meeting.
Membership – we currently have 121 members and we ended 2014/15 with 196 so we are need a push in memberships.
Communications chair Jenny Rohrs stated that we have had some email feedback on our website in regards to the membership button for 50.00 not working properly and she is looking into that
Teacher Mrs. Mulinax asked from the members if we could possibly look into getting cinch bags for orchestra students to carry their extra equipment in. We are looking into a direct mail for merchandise
The meeting was called at 8:33pm by Rachel
