Lakewood Legacies – Luke Lemmeier
Throughout my time at Lakewood High School, I had the joy of participating in LHS Choirs and Orchestras, Vive L’Four, and numerous Barnstormer productions. Fun fact: I was also Oliver in LHS’s 2007 production of “Oliver!” when I was in 6th grade. After graduating in 2013, I went on to continue my vocal training at Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music where I found my voice as a countertenor, and sang in choral works and opera productions. Upon graduating from BW in 2017, I moved to Chicago to immerse myself in all the Windy City has to offer for classical musicians. As a freelance musician, I have sung with ensembles such as Bella Voce, common pulse, and am a member of the choir at St. Chrysostom’s Episcopal Church in the Gold Coast (which was visited by Jane Lynch! – picture below). Last year, I was grateful to be a District winner of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. In addition to being a freelance singer, I also work in recruiting and enjoy the balance with my music gigs!
