Musical Monday: JOHN BLASKO
Our gift to you: a pre Spring Break “Musical Monday”! Introducing JOHN BLASKO from Harding and Grant and Hayes and Horace Mann and Lincoln and a little LHS!
Background – I grew up in Medina, Ohio. I attended Case Western Reserve University, earning my B.S. in Music Education. I later earned my M.A. in Music Education from The Ohio State University.
First music memory – Listening to Chicago with my Dad. I also distinctly remember being very upset about being told I was going to play trombone in band — it turns out, it was a good idea.
Hobby – Going to the gym and hanging out with my family!
Favorite thing about teaching music – Watching all the students grow and develop. It’s extra special when you feel everything just click when making music together. It’s impossible to explain, but the feeling is what we keep coming back to!
What is special about Music in Lakewood? Lakewood offers so many opportunities to our music students. The music educators in Lakewood are some of the best that I have ever met. I am proud to work alongside them to support our amazing students and families.
