Open Board And Chair Roles for 26/27

Let’s be honest—no one is sitting around thinking, “You know what I need? Another commitment.” Between work, family, and the general chaos of life, your calendar is already doing the most. And yet… here we are. Asking anyway. 😄

Why? Because supporting our student performers actually works when a handful of people each do a little—not when a few people do everything. And right now, we’re looking to grow that “handful.” These roles are built to be shared, manageable, and realistic for people who already have full lives (so… everyone). Think teamwork, not takeover. The truth is, the arts don’t run on magic—they run on people who are busy… and still choose to show up.

Open positions for next year (role descriptions):

• Co-President
• Co-Corresponding Secretary
• Membership Chairperson
• Co-Fundraising Chair
• Scholarship Committee 

What if you’re not sure you have time?
That’s exactly why we have co- roles and committees. You won’t be doing this alone, and you won’t be expected to drop everything for it. This is about pitching in—not burning out.

What if you’re not sure you’re the “right” person?
Also normal. Most of us didn’t start that way either. If you care about supporting students and can communicate, organize, or just show up consistently, you. are. more. than. qualified.
