BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING- PLEASE SUPPORT OUR MUSIC PROGRAM!

PROTECT OUR MUSIC  UPDATE: There is a board meeting slated for Monday July 20th at 7PM in the Harding Middle School Band Room (oh, the irony.) PLEASE BE PREPARED TO ATTEND. Questions we need to ask: why are students being pulled out of music “specials” for reading edge/math tutoring…but then those numbers are being counted AGAINST us as “decreased participation”? Why, when  there is a 1 Million dollar surplus and a projected 2 Million surplus for the next school year, would a full-time music teacher position NOT be replaced?  Why is this even a debate when we were promised that the MUSIC PROGRAM WOULD NOT BE TOUCHED in 2013 levy? And is there another levy in store for next year? PLEASE ATTEND AND ASK THESE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS. Thank you! -jbr
